Women's demonstration met with violent chadori police women


Today's demonstration was mostly dispersed by Chadori policewomen before it had a chance to begin. Jila Bani Yaghoub, as well as many other pariticipants were arrested. According to Iran Focus, the women chanted the following:

“Put an end to misogyny”, the women chanted. There were also chants of “freedom, freedom”, “we are human beings but have no rights”, and “we want equal rights”.

Also according to Iran Focus, many young men stood with the women and helped to stand up to the Iranian police.
