Should this Upcoming Presidential Election in Iran become a Referendum on the Constitution?

I just saw an article from Rooz online about this upcoming election. The fact is, if Khatami does chose to run, he won't be able to promise any change. This article below suggests that people vote for a candidate that announces his willingness to change the constitution, regardless if he passes the Islamic Republic's unfair candidacy selection process. If everyone pencil's in their vote for the desired candidate that offers to change the constitution, would it make a difference?
