three women activists were arrested

According to an article from Gooya news, http://news.gooya.com/politics/archives/2007/01/056880.phpthree Iranian women activists have been arrested. Talaat Taghinia, Mansoureh Shojai and Farnaz Seifi were arrested while they were leaving Tehran's Mehr Abad Airport for a Journalism Training Workshop in Dehli, India. According to Shrin Ebadi, a prominent lawyer and human rights activist, the arrests were not in accordance with Iran's legal code. By Iranian law, when being arrested, the accused should be informed of the charges brough against them, and then the arrest warrent will be applied for. In the cases of these three women, the arrest warrents had been prepared in advance without informing the accused.
The authorities in Iran expect civilians to abide by their laws, laws that they can't be bothered with adhering to themselves.
